Product and material test fixtures and accessories include mechanical testing grips, fixtures, sample heaters, extensometers, specimen cutters, and other specialized test components. There are many different types of product and material test fixtures and accessories. Examples include adhesive peel fixtures, compression cages, axis clamp test fixtures, chamber test fixtures, and indenters.  

An adhesive peel fixture is used to test the tensile strength or peel strength of adhesive tapes and other adhesive products.  Compression cages, sometimes referenced as modulus of rupture, are used to test the burst strength of products and materials.  An extensometer is an accessory used to measure strain associated with tensile testing.  An axis-clamp test fixture positions a test specimen to allow for multi-axis testing without rotating the shaker head from the vertical to horizontal position. A chamber test fixture is a non-destructive leak tester that produces quantitative leak test results for blister cards.  Other product and material test fixtures and accessories are also available. 

Product and material test fixtures and accessories use many different technologies. An axis clamp test fixture provides corrosion protection, thermal barrier, thermal treatment, guidance and support, and a choice of insert locations. A chamber test fixture combines the sensitivity of pressure or vacuum decay leak testing with the simplicity of sealed fixtures and can detect holes in blister card backings as small as 5 microns. Chamber test fixtures can also be used to produce high-precision test results in a laboratory or quality control (QC) environment. Other product and material test fixtures and accessories provide additional capabilities and features.

Product and material test fixtures and accessories are designed and manufactured to meet a variety of quality requirements, such as published standards for safety from Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
