The UR recognized 400 Series offers reliable, heavy-duty protection from high-speed lightning, transients and surges. IEEE 587 ring and impulse waves are vigorously clamped to safe levels and the protector automatically resets, ready for the next transient. The units are easily installed "within" a piece of equipment and the low profile (4.95" x 2.8" x 1.25") makes it ideal for OEM applications such as PLCs, fire alarms, monitoring systems, security controls, etc. New touch-safe terminal blocks offer an elevated level of personnel protection.

Series 400 employs high speed (less than 1 nanosecond), brute force protection components and impulse filtering to prevent damage or malfunction. Transient absorption capability exceeds 900 joules. Sine wave tracking greatly attenuates transients that ride on the sine wave. Wire-wound inductors ensure continued performance under severe transient conditions.

The 400 Series is available in 120 or 240VAC, single phase, 50/60/400Hz power lines handling currents from 5-25A. Units incorporate a green LED indicating the unit is operational and protection is present. An internal fuse automatically disconnects unit from the power line in the event of serious line current overload. Military versions are also available. Delivery is from stock.
