Printronix announces India's first bilingual line matrix printers that can simultaneously print in English and Devnagri (Hindi). With the unique built-in Devnagri capability, the line matrix printers are capable of understanding and printing Hindi as text and not graphics as is done in today's computing environment.

Developed jointly by Printronix and Wipro Peripherals (Bangalore, India), the new Indian language printer has the fastest Hindi printing speed - 3 to 4 times faster than the prevailing external box solutions. The new range of line printers fulfill a long standing requirement of Government and public sector organizations that need to strictly comply with the official language policy of the Government of India. No longer limited to English, Hindi printing is a giant step towards integrating Indian language with computers providing customized printing solutions for the Indian IT user.
