Fast Processing and Shared Programming
It offers faster processing speeds than other micro controllers--0.55 μs/LD instruction, 4.1 μs/MOV instruction--built-in positioning capabilities, and is in a class of its own when it comes to price and performance. The CP1L series shares offers complete program portability to Omron's CP1H, CJ, and CS programmable controller series, right down to the memory allocations and instructions.

The CP1L supports IEC 61131-3 programming via CX-One Software that features time saving libraries of Omron controls and function blocks that simplify program development as well as on-line editing of program logic. A group of motion control functions unique to CP1L establishes automatic communication with variable frequency drives and servos without ladder programming. Simulation software included in CX-One allows pre-testing of programs without any hardware and shortens commissioning time.

Monitoring and Communication Options
New plug-in option boards include a compact LCD display to monitor or change data values and to visually check error status, and an Ethernet communication port for programming, monitoring, and connection with an Omron HMI. Communication options include:

Easy to Expand
The CP1L comes with 10, 14, 20, 30, 40 or 60 I/O built-in and can be expanded with a wide range of CP1W expansion units up to 180 I/O points. Analog I/O and temperature sensor input modules make it easy to incorporate process values into the control scheme.

Simple Servo Control
The CP1L lets you run two servos at once using 100kHz Pulse Output functionality for a variety of effective positioning control. Enhanced commands to support positioning include Origin Search Function, Trapezoidal Accel/Decel, and On-the-Fly Speed Change.

Powerful AC Drive Control
Achieve precise speed/position control of AC Drives using 100kHz x 4 Single-Phase, 50kHz x 2 Phase-Differential inputs.

The CP1L uses a standard USB port for programming and monitoring and offers up to two optional plug-in RS-232C and RS-422A/485 serial communication ports.
